The incident happened at 3:30 a.m. on Friday. The British reporter caught a taxi where unknown people offered him a coffee, reported TASS.
After drinking the coffee, the man lost consciousness. When he woke up, he discovered that his belongings had been stolen, TASS reported.

“As a result of the search operation, a suspect in the robbery of a British national has been detained. Yesterday, the British national reported to the police that he had been robbed in a taxi,” Irina Volk, spokeswoman for the Russian Interior Ministry, said according to TASS.
The reporter had been coming from the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, reported Interfax.
“As a result of the search operation, officers of the criminal police found the car which the man had taken and one of the suspects had been detained. He is now being questioned,” Volk added.
A second man has since been identified, reports Interfax.
“As part of the implementation of the complex of operational search activities, the operatives of the criminal investigation established the whereabouts of the second suspect in the commission of the crime, and the man was detained and taken to the police department for investigative actions,” Volk told Interfax.
The reporter was not injured and has returned to work, the BBC told The Sun.
However, Interfax reported that more than £500 British Pounds — roughly $660 USD — had been taken through his bank card.
