Watch: Tom Brady's First Pass of the Super Bowl Goes Horribly Wrong

Share

It didn’t take long for Super Bowl LIII to produce its first dramatic turnover.

Following the Los Angeles Rams choosing to defer after winning the coin toss Sunday in Atlanta, the New England Patriots received the ball and promptly marched down the field with a bevy of different run formations.

As the Patriots drove through the vaunted Rams defense and across the 50-yard line, Tom Brady dropped back to pass.

Now, normally, considering Brady’s unparalleled resume, you’d think this would be a good thing.

And you’d be right. It was a good thing.

For the Los Angeles Rams.

Fortunately for the Patriots, their normally porous defense was able to force a three-and-out on the ensuing possession.
