Watch: HS Championship Game Ends with 21 Points in Final 30 Seconds, Wild Hail Mary
If you thought the Los Angeles Rams-Kansas City Chiefs game Monday night was exciting, wait until you see how a D.C.-area high school championship football game unfolded in the final seconds.
Gonzaga beat DeMatha 46-43 to win the Capital Division title in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference on Sunday night in a game that featured three touchdowns in the final 30 seconds.
The final and winning touchdown was a nearly 60-yard Hail Mary pass as time expired.

DeMatha, which had won five of the last six championships, was up 36-26 with just over three minutes to play when Gonzaga quarterback Caleb Williams threw one of his six touchdown passes to make it 36-33.
Then, with 29 seconds left, Williams hit Sam Sweeney in the end zone to give Gonzaga a 40-36 lead.
That lead was short-lived, however, as DeMatha’s Dominic Logan-Nealy returned the ensuing squib kick for a touchdown to put DeMatha back on top, 43-40.
With just 15 seconds left, Gonzaga and Williams went to work. The quarterback completed a quick strike to the sidelines to put the ball at the Eagles’ 41-yard line.
They had one play left and 59 yards to go. Williams threw one up for grabs more than 60 yards. It was reminiscent of the Hail Mary Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers threw to Richard Rodgers to beat the Lions 26-23 as time expired back in 2015.
Williams threw it about the same distance as Rodgers did, and somehow, Gonzaga wide receiver John Marshall came down with it amid a sea of DeMatha defenders.
Here’s another look at it.

It’s one of the wildest final 30 seconds of a game you’ll ever see.
The quarterback, Williams, is just a sophomore, but he has a slew of major colleges eyeing him already, including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Penn State and Boston College, according to 247 Sports.
