Red Sox Rub Salt in the Wound for Astros Star Alex Bregman After Series Win
One troll job deserves another, as Alex Bregman of the Houston Astros found out after the Boston Red Sox knocked his team out of the playoffs.
Before Game 3 of the ALCS, Bregman posted a story to his Instagram page that showed the Astros hitting back-to-back-to-back home runs off Game 3 starter Nathan Eovaldi.

Bregman attached the caption of “lil pregame video work” to the video, which has since been deleted.
But Eovaldi stepped up and got the win for Boston in Game 3, and then he notched a hold in Game 5 with 1.1 scoreless innings.
The Red Sox decided to return the pettiness of Bregman right back at him as they then posted a video of their own from the visitors’ locker room at Minute Maid Park.

That’s Eovaldi celebrating with champagne and the Sox social media team trolling Bregman with the caption of “lil post series video work.”
This was just a continuation of Boston poking Bregman, as they also did it during Game 5. When Eovaldi came on in relief and struck out Bregman, starter David Price shouted from the dugout, “Post that!”

The Sox haven’t limited their troll jobs to just Bregman and the Astros this postseason; they also clapped back at the Yankees following the AL Division Series.
After the Yankees evened the ALDS with a Game 2 victory in Boston, Aaron Judge was blasting Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York” in the visitors’ clubhouse at Fenway Park.
The series was heading to the Bronx and the Yankees had the momentum. However, the Red Sox would win both games in New York to win the series 3-1.
The playing of “New York, New York” wasn’t lost on the Sox. They decided to play the song while celebrating with champagne in the visitor’s locker room of Yankee Stadium.

We don’t know yet who the Red Sox will face in the World Series — Game 6 in the NLCS between the Dodgers and Brewers is Friday night — but we do know we can expect an epic troll job from them if LA or Milwaukee gives them any ammunition to do so.
