Odell Beckham Jr. Gets Shredded for Wearing Insane Outfit to Major Event
Odell Beckham Jr. is a unique talent — that he has already proved in his short NFL career.
The Cleveland Browns receiver also has a unique fashion sense, which he displayed Monday at the Met Gala, an annual fundraising event held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Beckham’s outfit consisted of a black baseball cap, a sleeveless black tuxedo, black boots — and a knee-length black skirt.

He made it clear he didn’t want people to call it that.
“It ain’t a skirt,” Beckham told former New York Giants teammate Saquon Barkley. “It’s a kilt … kilt. The bagpipes didn’t make it in.”

Some people liked what Beckham was wearing from the waist up.

But his “kilt” had many scratching their heads.

Why is OBJ wearing a skirt? Am I allowed to ask that?

Beckham was not the only NFL star at the gala. Along with Barkley, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and wide receiver Julian Edelman were also there.

Brady caught a lot of flak for his outfit at the gala last year, with some saying he looked like a vampire.

Brady went a little more traditional this year, but Beckham took it to another level.
“I told them no off the rip,” Beckham told GQ of his Met Gala outfit. “I was like, ‘There’s no chance I’m wearing that. On the way here I was like, ‘Can you make sure they bring it just in case? I might just do it just to do it.’”
He also talked a little football — specifically, his new teammate, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield.
“I would say he’s next, but I feel like he’s now,” Beckham said of Mayfield. “He’s Brett Favre — he’s going to be a Hall of Famer.”
As for Cleveland, he has high hopes.
“I plan on being there for the next five years and trying to bring as many championships there as possible,” Beckham told GQ, adding that his goal is “turning [the Browns] into the new Patriots.”
