Viral Photo Shows 2 Young Americans Placing Flags On Graves in Preparation for Memorial Day
Most Americans are set to celebrate Memorial Day with cookouts, family gatherings or a day at the lake.
However, some people are making a difference this Memorial Day weekend — and two young ones are going viral in a major way.
This picture from Pflugerville, Texas of a Cub Scout and a Brownie putting flags on the graves of our veterans is going viral, and you can see why.
The picture features 6-year-old Cub Scout Austin Henry and his 7-year-old sister Autumn placing flags on veterans’ graves in their local cemetery.

Quite a few Twitter users voiced their support for what these young Americans did.
Pretty sure these kids will go far, they are being raised on the right path.

Amen!

Hey parents, these kids are being brought up with respect, are you watching?

God bless you kids and your parents…
We need more kids like you in the U.S., and we need more parents like yours…— Minto Michael (@minto_michael) May 27, 2018
And, of course, there were always those willing to talk about the recent merger between the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
I like the idea of an America when boys became Cub Scouts & girls became Girl Scout Brownies.

And then the trolls crawled out of their cave.
This is very low grade propaganda. Is this take your child to work day at Fox News?

Yes, apparently, scouts putting flags on the graves of veterans on Memorial Day is now propaganda. For Pete’s sake.
The least we can do, for one weekend, is stop and honor them. The flag isn’t propaganda and service — either in the military or in honoring them — is as noble a thing as you can do. For that matter, perhaps we can also put away the Scouting controversy and remember what really matters.
What matters is that we are free — and so many people died to ensure that we are. We remember them on this most solemn of weekends, the same way that Austin and Autumn Henry did.
