Trump Calls for Dem Senate Candidate to be Prosecuted: 'Voter Fraud at the Highest Level'

Democratic deception deserves prosecution, according to President Donald Trump.

The campaign of Democrat Mary Peltola has been charged with rooting around Alaska until Democrats could find a candidate named Dan Sullivan, in hopes of taking away votes from Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan.

The scheme, which produced a Dan J. Sullivan who is on the ballot, became public this week, enraging Republicans. The Department of Justice has already sued to intervene in the event that the Democrats’ scheme is successful.

Trump says punishment is necessary.

“I think they should be prosecuted,” Trump said, according to the Epoch Times.

“It’s terrible what’s happened in Alaska,” Trump said.

“That’s a fraud to the public,” Trump said, calling the scheme a “plot by the Democratic Party,” adding that “they got caught.”

Trump called it “voter fraud at the highest level.”

Earlier this week, Trump condemned the attempt to fool Alaska voters.

“It has just been determined that the Democrats in Alaska illegally searched for, and recruited, a man named Dan Sullivan to run against our distinguished Republican Senator, Dan Sullivan, in order to defraud, confuse, and obfuscate the Election, thereby taking votes away from the REAL Senator, Dan Sullivan,” Trump posted on Truth Social.

“The New York Times reports that, ‘Democrats have insisted they have nothing to do with the other Dan Sullivan on Alaska’s Senate ballot. But aides with the Mary Peltola campaign and DSCC were part of a monthslong secret plan to recruit him to run — as well as other candidates,’” Trump posted.

“The Democrats’ false statements were made under oath in Federal Court. Therefore, they perjured themselves, and should be liable for very serious consequences,” he posted.

“Mary Peltola should suffer the Legal and Political consequences for what she has done, A FRAUD ON THE AMERICAN PUBLIC, and Dan Sullivan should be allowed to run without either Mary Peltola or FAKE Dan Sullivan on the Ballot,” he wrote.

In a separate post, Trump called the incident “Voter Fraud at the Highest Level.”

He wrote that “the Dumocrat Candidate, who was involved in the scheme, Mary Peltola, should be removed from the Ballot and prosecuted. So should the FAKE Dan Sullivan. Nothing else will do! This behavior in our Elections cannot be allowed to continue.”

On Thursday, House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer said in a news release that the panel was investigating and would summon those involved in the scheme to appear.

“Democrats are the party of fraud. Knowing they can’t win on the issues, Democrats schemed to rig the U.S. Senate election in Alaska by deliberately confusing voters,” Comer said. “This is part of a broader pattern of misconduct by today’s Democrat Party.”

“Americans deserve answers about this latest attempt by Democrats to defraud the American people, and we will get them,” he said.

In a post on X, Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy said the state would investigate what he called “an organized effort to manipulate Alaska’s elections by recruiting candidates — including one with the same name as an incumbent U.S. Senator — to deliberately confuse voters and misdirect their votes.”
