Tim Tebow Opens Up About Relationship with His Brother To Promote Their New Movie
It is truly inexplicable that Tim Tebow has so many over-the-top critics.
But even his fiercest detractors have to admit that the former Heisman Trophy winner knows how to keep himself busy.
When Tebow is not planning to hose television shows, he can be found honoring the men and women who protect this country. That’s while he’s working on a burgeoning baseball career.
Somehow, amid all of all that, he is also able to juggle a high-profile relationship.
To call the man busy would be a vast understatement, and something even the most vocal of the anti-Tebow crowd would have a hard time disputing.
That being said, of all of Tebow’s various recent projects, none has had the level of familial intimacy that his upcoming movie does.
Yes, Tim Tebow can now add “filmmaker” and “executive producer” to his already hefty resume with the upcoming release of “Run the Race.”
In typical Tim Tebow fashion, he revealed that filmmaking wasn’t something that interested him until he found a reason to pursue it.
“It’s exciting,” Tebow told USA Today. “I’ve received a lot of scripts over the years. But I haven’t always wanted to be in filmmaking. I want to do the right films, films that will encourage or inspire or move people.”
As USA Today describes it, “‘Run the Race’ follows two fictional high school brothers whose father abandons them after their mother dies. All-State high school football player Zach (Tanner Stine) earns a college scholarship, but receives a devastating injury. Brother David (Evan Hofer) laces up his track cleats to salvage their future and show what’s possible when you run to — instead of from — the love of God.”
For all intents and purposes, it seems like the quintessential Tebow movie.
But what elevates this particular project above merely being another feather in his cap is the way the movie touches on Tim’s relationship with his older brother, Robby Tebow.
“There are a lot of similarities in my life between two brothers supporting one another, having each other’s back, believing in one another,” Tebow told USA Today. “My family and my brother have always given me so much support. That’s made such a big impact on me being able to go after my dreams.”
To help promote the movie, Tim filmed some humorous vignettes with Robby that also shed light into Tim’s family life.

Unsurprisingly, it’s the youngest of five children, Tim.

Apparently it’s a tie.
But the most poignant vignette so far is one where several clips from “Run the Race” are shown.

That is sound guidance no matter how you slice it.
“Run the Race” will be in theaters on Feb. 22.
