Taylor Swift Invites More Than 2,000 Foster Kids & Parents to Private Concert

Share

As Taylor Swift prepares for the start of her Reputation Stadium Tour on May 8, 2018, she is continuing to spend time with her fans and include them as much as she can.

On May 5, the pop icon spent thirty minutes with 8-year-old Isabella who is recovering from a fire pit accident. Taylor Swift’s music has been playing in her room, keeping her spirits up as she recovers.

After hearing Isabella’s story, Swift had to meet her. She brought some “Reputation” swag and invited her to come to a show whenever she’s ready.

Later that night, she invited a group of special fans to the final dress rehearsal of her tour kick off in Glendale, Arizona.

Over 2,000 children and foster parents were invited to come to the University of Phoenix Stadium to have pizza and see the show before anyone else.

When Swift asked the crowd to raise their hands if this was their first concert, about 500 hands shot up in the air, according to someone who attended.

Kelli Dillion, one of the foster parents, posted pictures of their “dream” night. She wrote, “All I have to say is @taylorswift you are one of the most genuine and kind human beings ever! Thank you for your generosity ?”

Another foster mom, Abbi Williams, shared pictures of the evening on her Instagram. She wrote, “A night my girls and I will always remember – meeting Taylor Swift!! Thank you for such a generous evening with your littlest fans.”

“Your show is amazing – you and your team did an incredible job!!”

An Instagram user by the name of Momma Bear also shared pictures of their evening saying that Swift “was such a gracious and generous hostess…”

She continued, “The munchkins wrote thank you cards to Miss Swift and I was blessed to be able to give them to her kind daddy who promised to bring them to her before the show. He gave a TS guitar pic to each of the kids. ❤❤”

Momma Bear also shared more about the experience on her Instagram Story. “Private concert for foster and adopted families. She’ll never promote that because she’s humble,” she said. “They’ll never forget that. First concert and a pizza party with Taylor Swift.”

She continued, “I got to meet her dad and give him some thank you notes from the kids and he teared up. He was so sweet. I got to thank him for raising such a generous and gracious daughter.”

It was a night none of those sweet children will be able to forget. While Swift declared that “the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now,” it seems like the fan-loving Taylor that we’ve come to know and love is still alive and well!
