South Korea said in a statement it's 'very concerned' about North Korea's weapons launches.

After meeting with Russia's Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un used some tough talk to try to get the US to bend in negotiaions over denuclearization.

'We want sanctions to remain in place,' Trump said Thursday at the White House during a meeting with South Korea President Moon Jae-in.

'Moon has worked aggressively to foster better relations between the North and South and doesn't want to see nuclear talks derailed.'

Trump announced on Twitter Friday he was reversing course on new sanctions on Chinese companies doing business with North Korea.

'We have neither the intention to compromise with the U.S. in any form nor much less the desire or plan to conduct this kind of negotiation.'

'Millions of North Korean voters, including leader Kim Jong Un, went to the polls on Sunday to elect a new lineup of roughly 700 members for the next session of the national legislature.'
