The election of hardline cleric Ebrahim Raisi to the country's presidency puts the future of the nuclear agreement in question.

President Joe Biden made continued assurances that he would remain tough on Iran, promising that the country would not gain nuclear weaponry.

The remarks came hours after a White House news conference where he spoke at reporters in odd, awkward whispers.

'An agreement has been reached to remove all insurance, oil and shipping sanctions that were imposed by Trump.'

Iran's president-elect rejected a meeting with President Joe Biden and instead issued demands to the United States.

'Israel will use every option at its disposal in order to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon,' Israel's new foreign minister said.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stepped down from power on Sunday, but didn't do so without speaking his mind.

'It’s not a secret the United States plans very soon to return to the dangerous agreement which my colleagues and I completely oppose.'

A former national security official said lifting sanctions on Iran is a sign of weakness and 'tells Tehran to continue its nefarious activities.'
