El Salvador has re-elected a president who oversaw a massive reduction in crime after declaring war on the country's gangs.

"I would be very worried if we had your support," the Salvadorian president said in response to Omar's attacks.

This country’s ruling class might no longer care about the safety of this country's citizens, but perhaps a jury will.
