Prince Harry Asks Everyone To Leave Room After Meeting Age 15 Boy Who Lost a Parent

Share

It’s no secret Prince Harry has a soft spot for young people. We love watching him reach out to the children and teens who look up to him.

In 2017, the prince came across a redhead as remarkable as he. Fifteen-year-old Faith Dickinson caught Harry’s attention after receiving The Diana Award for her charitable work — Cuddles for Cancer.

The young lady was even invited to the royal wedding, a prestigious honor. Her connection with the prince made it clear the man has a gift for relating to a younger generation.

In 2018, Hello! Magazine reported a tender moment between the Duke of Sussex and a 6-year-old boy who lost his mother.

The boy, Otia Nante, met the prince during his “walkabout” in Auckland, New Zealand. The two spoke, and Prince Harry related to him in a very personal way.

Now our favorite redheaded royal has shown us yet again that he’s got kindness and compassion embedded in his soul.

We all know Diana’s youngest son was only 12 when she died. At such a young age, the prince lost so much with many years of childhood ahead.

Having gone through something like that, the Duke of Sussex can relate to children and teens who have also lost a parent or guardian.

PEOPLE reported Prince Harry shared a moment with a young man during a visit to Bristol’s Empire Fighting Chance charity on Feb. 1.

The teen, Iestyn Jones, lost his father seven years ago. Prince Harry reportedly cleared the room and spent 10 minutes speaking with Jones, about grief.

“The same thing happened to me,” the prince said to Jones. The 15-year-old later shared with reporters about his one-on-one with the dad-to-be.

“It just got a bit emotional because he mentioned something. He knew some stuff about me and the same thing happened to me. We had a chat for about 10 minutes,” Jones said.

“When we had a group picture at the end he made sure I was standing next to him. They were lovely people. I didn’t expect them to be like that. They were amazing people.”

We have no doubt Diana would be proud of the son who continues to carry on her legacy of kindness and grace.

Do you have a favorite Prince Harry moment? We have so many, but this one certainly makes the top of our list.
