New Report Reveals 'Alarming Trend': Planned Parenthood Abortion Numbers Climb to 15-Year High
The number of abortions performed by Planned Parenthood hit a 15-year high in 2019, according to the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List.
Between Oct. 1, 2018 and Sept. 30, 2019, Planned Parenthood performed 354,871 abortions, according to the organization’s recently released annual report.
The report noted that Planned Parenthood clinics saw 2.4 million patients in 2019.
The organization performed about 9,000 more abortions in 2019 than it did in 2018. And in 2018, the organization performed nearly 13,000 more abortions than it did in 2017.
“Planned Parenthood’s business is abortion, not health care,” SBAL president Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement.
“At a time when U.S. abortions overall have long been on the decline, Planned Parenthood is ending the lives of more than 354,000 unborn children a year.”
Dannenfelser warned that under President Joe Biden’s administration, “we can expect this alarming trend to continue.”
“The pro-life movement will work tirelessly to expose the Democrats’ extremism on abortion,” she added.
“We will never quit fighting to stop taxpayer funding of the abortion industry and provide the life-affirming alternatives women and families deserve.”
