Blevins recently shared a story about his mom that many might not know. The 28-year-old Fortnite guru is beyond grateful for the woman who gave birth to him.

A video tweeted by Sports Center in May showed Blevins thanking his mom, Cynthia Blevins, for all she had done for him. Little did he know she was in the next room, watching the entire thing.

“You always taught me that God has a plan, and for that I thank you so much and I love you so much for that,” Blevins said of his mom.

When Cynthia came out to surprise her son, the two broke down into tears together.

“Mom, all I want to do is keep being the man you raised me to be and bring as much joy into other people’s lives as you do into others every day,” Blevins said.

“I love you son,” Cynthia said. “I’m so proud of you.”

Blevins shared a bit more during his 28th birthday live stream on the popular gaming platform Twitch.

According to Live Action, the online star explained that there came a point during his mom’s pregnancy that doctors urged her to have an abortion.

“A lot of the doctors told my mom that I had spina bifida or Down syndrome or a number of diseases and that I should be aborted,” he said.

“She said no to all the doctors. And found one that was like, ‘You know, we’re going to have this baby,'” Blevins shared. “And fast-forward nine months after that I was born perfect, you know. Nothing wrong with me.”

The clip can be seen in a video shared by pro-life advocate and YouTuber Jason Jones. The feature includes other celebrities such as Nick Cannon and Jack Nicholson who were allegedly also close to being aborted.

“My mom is a saint and an angel and I love her to death. And it’s one of those things where had she listened to one of those doctors or even one of those people, you guys wouldn’t be here,” Blevins added. “No one would be in this room.”

Live Action reported that “86 percent of babies diagnosed in the womb with Down syndrome are aborted.” And yet we see someone like Ninja and have to wonder … what if? Even if he had been born with a disability, would that lessen the value of his life?

Do you know someone who has a story similar to this one? Hearing Blevins talk about what could have happened but didn’t is a beautiful reminder of the amazing gift and value of life.

Liftable, a section of The Western Journal, reached out to Tyler Blevins for an interview but has not received a response.
