Katherine Schwarzenegger Gifts Husband Chris Pratt Pigs for Birthday, Names Them After Country Icons

While Chris Pratt might currently be a household name around the world due to his role as Star-Lord in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” franchise, his real-life persona tends to reflect the role that first catapulted him to fame.

Pratt starred as Andy Dwyer on NBC’s hit comedy series “Parks & Recreation” from 2009 to 2015, where his character quickly won over the hearts of viewers with his bumbling innocence and charm.

Pratt has developed a huge following on social media thanks to his humor, honesty and openness about his faith.

Pratt and his new wife Katherine Schwarzenegger recently celebrated his 40th birthday on June 21, not even two weeks after their wedding on June 8.

A source told ET that the newlyweds celebrated both their wedding and Pratt’s birthday on the Island of Lanai in Hawaii.

Schwarzenegger, daughter of former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, posted a heartfelt and romantic social media post celebrating her husband’s big birthday.

“So beyond blessed to laugh with you, love you, go on adventures with you, kiss you and live this magical life with you,” she said.

Schwarzenegger’s birthday gift to Pratt has been garnering laughs and plenty of attention since Pratt first shared a photo on his Instagram on June 29. Pratt received two Kune-Kune pigs, a small New Zealand breed of domestic pigs.

Pratt’s response has been endearing and very reminiscent of something Andy Dwyer might do, even going as far to name the pigs after country music power couple Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

“Best birthday present ever!!” he said. “We named them Tim and Faith because they’re beautiful and their love is palpable and inspiring. I love them and can’t wait to watch them grow.”

Pratt has adopted several other types of animals — including sheep and goats — adding them to what he calls “The Friendly Kingdom.” This is a relief for anyone who might have been worried about the future of Tim and Faith.

“No they will not be bacon!” Pratt wrote. “They will spend their entire lives thriving at the farm, until they pass naturally many, many years from now.”

Pratt and Schwarzenegger certainly seem to be off to a fun and joyful start to their new life together. “You make life joy filled!” Schwarzenegger said on her Instagram. “I love you so much! Happy happy!”

Pratt hopes that their pets help to enrich their lives, not just with companionship, but a deeper growth in character.

“Historically our relationship with animals has taught us so many valuable life lessons- ranging from the harsh realities of the cycle of life to the rewards of compassion, stewardship, love and care,” he said.

This is a statement that animal lovers everywhere know to be true.

Pratt can currently be seen on the big screen as Star-Lord in Marvel’s box office juggernaut, “Avengers: Endgame.”
