Two Weeks After Dog Escapes from Backyard, Reunited with Owner & Neither Can Stop Dancing

Share

Reunions are truly sweet moments. Whenever we’re reconnected with those we love, we often shed tears of joy, and laugh so hard our sides ache.

And it’s not just a reunion between friends and family, either. After all, our loved ones come in all shapes and sizes.

One size is closer to the canine persuasion. Some people grow so close to their dogs, the bond brings truth to the term “man’s best friend.”

Such is the case for Jackson, Mississippi, dog Daisy and her owner Joyce Adams. Sadly, the two were separated in June.

Adams adores her 7-month-old pup, and she immediately began searching, hoping her furry friend would soon be returned to her arms.

“I went into panic-mode and I rolled around trying to find Daisy, but I could not find her,” Adams told her local news station.

But, the more time that passed, the less hope Adams held. It was thanks to an important phone call that Adam’s hope became full again.

The Jackson Animal Shelter told Adams they had someone she might like to see. Adams didn’t hesitate.

She immediately headed to the shelter to retrieve her beloved pet. Their priceless reunion was caught on video.

Watch as Adams and Daisy share a “happy dance.” It’s clear the two couldn’t be happier to see each other.

“I’m not sure if I was laughing or crying, but I was jumping up and down and we were happy,” Adams shared.

But just as important as this single reunion is to Adams, she said it’s not all about her. The Jackson woman wanted everyone to know her reasons for wanting the video to go viral.

“I want other mommas to feel that joy,” she said. “Not just about a fur baby, but about the ones they’ve given birth to.”

What a sweet sentiment from a sweet woman. Hopefully Adams and Daisy will share many more years together.

And if Daisy ever goes missing again? No doubt Adams will jump up and down, laughing and crying, when they are reunited once more.
