Mommy Puts Glasses on His Tiny Face, Reaction Will Melt You into a Puddle
I’ve worn corrective lenses for 25 years. And let me tell you, there’s still nothing like a bump to a clearer prescription or a switch to a fresh pair of contacts.
I hate to be cliche, but the truth is I can’t help but hum Johnny Nash’s “I Can See Clearly Now” every time I don a new pair of specs. If you’re a glasses wearer, you know the feeling all too well.
Thankfully, I didn’t have to start wearing glasses until elementary school. By then I could clean my own lenses and tell my parents when I felt the prescription just wasn’t right.
My daughter wears glasses now and I’m beyond grateful extra eyes are “in.” When I was a kid, the “four-eyes” term was ever popular, which made it hard to want to be able to see.
Yes, we are a glasses wearing family, but I can’t imagine having a baby with sight problems. Infants are stressful enough without adding blurred vision into the mix.
Which is why I have to give props to these parents. Just watch as their little ones find out what it really means to see for the first time.
This wide-eyed baby Christian’s reaction is by far my favorite. His struggle to rip those glasses off his face transformed into a look of pure joy when he realized what was happening.
“Hi, munchkin,” his mom says. Though his parents never show themselves, it’s obvious they’re experiencing as much joy as their son.

“Do you like your glasses?” his mom asks. To which this baby happily responds with babbles that can only be translated as “Yes!”
The cuteness factor is definitely there among these priceless moments.
But what’s perhaps even more heartwarming is not the simple fact these little ones can see — it’s what they can see that touches my soul.
Now they can finally witness in full force the smiling faces of those who love them. What a precious gift indeed.
