Little Girl's Powerful Rendition of National Anthem: When Fireworks Explode, Crowd Roars

Share

We’ve witnessed some pretty amazing renditions of the National Anthem over the years. Each one seems to get better and better.

Remember when Academy Award Winning actress Jennifer Hudson dominated the tune during Super Bowl XLIII in 2009?

Her voice gives me chills. Her version is very Disney-esque, if I do say so myself. After I heard that, I was sure nothing would ever top it.

Then Garrett came along. On Aug. 16, he was caught on camera singing along to “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a New England Patriots game.

This little guy is a package full of cuteness. He may not have Hudson’s stellar pipes, but the heart behind the song is what matters.

“His mom sent me this video shortly after my performance,” Kim Taveras, the singer in the video, wrote on YouTube. “I love it. Teach them well and let them lead the way!”

A stunning voice can be breathtaking, and an adorable kid will melt your heart, but what happens when the two are combined?

This is exactly what happened at an LA Galaxy game when 7-year-old Malea Emma took our country’s song and made it her own.

Even the athletes at this soccer game were amazed by this young lady’s powerful pipes. LA Galaxy forward, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, tweeted about the show.

Most Valuable Player describes Malea Emma perfectly. Not only did she deliver a trophy-worthy performance, but she got the crowd roaring too.

Watch as she sings a cappella. For such a young singer, her voice is quite mature. The best part comes about halfway through the video!

The fireworks went off at the perfect moment! When she sings “the bombs bursting in air” and they literally burst in the air, I got goosebumps.

There’s no question as to why this little celebrity won the National Anthem contest LA Galaxy put on to find their perfect soloist to open the game at StubHub Center.

The team won 3-0 against the Seattle Sounders, by the way. I’ll bet they’re glad they chose Malea as their opener. She might just be good luck!

Yes, no doubt Malea Emma is going places. With her current 15K followers on Instagram, I’d say she already has a winning lead.
