Dad Never Turns on Radio in Car with Teen Daughter. Once She Opens Her Mouth, You'll Know Why
There’s never a dull moment when singing competition season is upon us. But even without shows like “The Voice” or “American Idol,” we still have so many opportunities to witness musical greatness.
Take Lauren Spencer-Smith, for example. She’s just a teenager but already this singer has taken to the stage and shared her voice with the world.
In 2015, at the young age of 11, Spencer-Smith had the opportunity to sing with Keith Urban. She doesn’t even look nervous as she takes the mic and belts “Make You Feel My Love” with so much control in her voice.
“One of the best nights of my life and one of the best experiences ever!” the young talent wrote on Instagram. “The feeling was unimaginable! And thanks to Keith for making one of my dreams come true.”
She hasn’t slowed down since then, either. With over 50,000 followers on Facebook currently, it seems Spencer-Smith is a star in the making.
In 2016 she auditioned for “America’s Got Talent.” Though she didn’t end up on the show, we have a feeling she may be back on that stage again one day, if not an even bigger one.
Now she’s 15 and her voice is as lovely as ever. It’s hard to believe someone so young could sing like this. If you close your eyes and listen, you might picture Adele or Lady Gaga.
But make no mistake, she’s a star all on her own. Her dad certainly thinks so, anyway. He doesn’t even bother turning on the stereo when his daughter is in the car.
“When I am driving with my 15-year-old daughter Lauren I never put the radio on,” he wrote on her Facebook page. “I get front row seats to epic performances like this … and what a Harmony at the end!”
“Lol she may have sang with Kieth Urban but I think this duet was her favourite…. maybe not…”
Is this girl the real deal? We think so! We can’t wait to hear what’s next for her.
Would you vote for this young lady on a talent show? She’d definitely make her way to the top in no time!
