Burly Tattooed Man Is Softie with Heart for Fostering Kittens, Cries When Rehoming Them
Just because someone has a tough exterior, it doesn’t mean they don’t have a heart. One social media personality has brought new meaning to the phrase, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Mike Enders may seem like your average “tough guy.” With tattoos all over his arms, a beard, and plenty of muscle, Enders definitely has the intimidation factor down.
But, deep down where it counts, this man has a heart of gold.
He has made it his mission in life to help some very special friends in need.
And no, I’m not talking about his local biker community. I’m not even referring to making a donation to his local tattoo parlor.
Enders has a much softer side than most people might expect. In fact, a recent post on Instagram revealed exactly how he wants to be viewed.
Meet the “cat dad.” While he may appear rough around the edges, Enders holds a special place in his heart for fur-balls of the feline persuasion.
“People see my tattoos and they’re like, ‘Oh, we thought you’d be into pit bulls,'” Enders said in a Facebook video. “And I’m like, ‘No, I love kittens.'”
When looking for a job change, Enders was offered the opportunity to foster his favorite animals. He took them in and worked hard to nurse them back to full health.
Enders can be seen advocating for animals on his Facebook and Instagram pages. While it’s difficult for Enders when an animal doesn’t survive, he continues to care for them and help them find good homes.
“I’m a big sappy, eye-watering kind of guy,” Enders shared in the Facebook video. This just goes to show the exterior doesn’t define the interior.
It may have been hard to say goodbye to his foster kitties, but Enders takes comfort in knowing they were on their way to “their forever home.” What a sweet guy!
