Little Boy Delivers 'Citations' to Police Officers. More Than 1 Dozen Cops Show Up to Party

Share

Six-year-old Christian Alvarado has always wanted to be a police officer when he grows up.

His mom Maria said he loves to dress up in his little police officer uniform and often visits the local La Paz County, Arizona, police departments to drop off gifts.

This year, Christian wanted to invite some local officers to come to his party, and decided to give them “citations” to ask them to come.

But Christian and his family were shocked when 14 officers actually showed up on the day of the party to help the young boy celebrate turning 6.

“It was amazing. I knew some would show up, but we didn’t expect this many,” his mom said.

Members from several western Arizona law enforcement agencies were in attendance, including those from the Parker Police Department and the La Paz County Sheriff’s Department.

And even though the cops had already made Christian’s day by simply showing up, they didn’t stop there.

After checking with his mom, they also brought along a very special gift for the boy: a puppy.

“How could I say no to a dog? He wanted a dog, so I couldn’t say no,” Maria explained.

With a little help from the officers at the party, Christian eventually named his new furry friend Sergeant.

After the day came to an end, the 6-year-old told his mom that it was “the best birthday ever.”

“It’s just nice to have officers who were willing to make a little boy’s birthday amazing,” Maria said.

This day is definitely one Christian and his family will remember for many years to come, thanks to the heartwarming kindness of a few local police officers.
