Woman Barely Recognizes Herself in the Mirror After Receiving Incredible Makeover
Debbie was about to turn 60: a milestone event with lots to celebrate. With six decades of life behind her and a fresh new chapter of life to look forward to, she was ready to take an exciting plunge into the world of makeovers.
Debbie, from the Chicago metropolitan area, said she had always wanted a makeover and felt that finally, the time was right.
She traveled to Minneapolis, Minnesota, for an appointment with Christopher Hopkins, an artist who is probably best known as “The Makeover Guy.”
I’ve never seen a makeover this dramatic. What a transformation! https://t.co/djI3G8wdRU

“I decided to finally do it because I was going to be turning 60,” Debbie said.
“And so I said, ‘OK, this is the time where I’m either going to let my hair grow out and go completely gray, or I’m gonna get the courage to actually set up the appointment and follow through with it.”
Debbie said that while her husband did not really understand why she wanted a makeover, Debbie’s daughter came alongside her mom and encouraged her.
“When you’re doing it, you’re doing it for yourself,” her daughter said of the makeover. “You’re not doing it for him or for anybody else, you’re doing it for yourself.”
With the wave of a magic wand, Hopkins and his team transformed Debbie’s hair and makeup into a whole new version of Debbie.
Her hair, once sporting gray roots and dark brown ends, was lightened to a youthful strawberry blonde color and cut short, her curls dancing around her face.
Hopkins joked that Debbie was given “just a touch” of makeup before writing in the caption, “Not really.”
“We completely recreated her face with the help of contour, color and brows.”
Beaming into the camera, Debbie announced that her family was not going to recognize her, after all, she scarcely recognized herself.
“I’m not looking to look any younger or more beautiful, I just want to look the best version of myself,” Debbie said.
Post-makeover, Debbie proudly stated that she felt really good. “I am fabulous!” she exclaimed, her joyful personality shining through her smile.
Enjoy your 60s, Debbie, and thanks for bringing us into your adventure.
