Royal Fans Point Out George's Eerie Resemblance to Princess Diana in Recent Portrait

Share

As the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton grow up in the public eye, royal fans love to comment on the strong family resemblances that shine through in their photos and public appearances.

2018 has been a huge year for Prince George and Princess Charlotte in terms of making some important public appearances.

In April, the children were photographed as they welcomed their newest royal sibling, Prince Louis, to the world.

In May, the children participated in the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Princess Charlotte made headlines after sticking her tongue out for the cameras, which is precisely what her uncle Harry used to do as a kid.

And in July, Prince George turned 5.

As is tradition, Kensington Palace released a portrait of the prince to mark his fifth year.

As fans peered into the boy’s dark eyes and broad smile, they did what they do best: point out family resemblances.

After one royal fan posted a side-by-side photo of Prince George and his late grandmother, Princess Diana, many were quick to spot a couple of similarities between the two.

The most common thread centered around Prince George’s far-reaching smile.

“Same smile as his beautiful late grandma,” one Instagram user commented.

“I think it’s just the same lips and same smile as Diana,” wrote another.

Do you agree that Prince George shares his late grandmother’s smile? Or do you think the prince more closely resembles someone else?

Some fans thought his smile looked more similar to Queen Elizabeth, who boasts a wide-grin of her own.

Still, others felt the young boy was looking more and more like his father, Prince William.

Either way, the royal smile stretches far, a trait which comes naturally to Prince George. Happy Birthday, young lad.
