Little Girl Sings 'You Are My Sunshine' to Her Snuggly Cat As It Falls Asleep in Her Arms
When audiences first met 4-year-old Abby, she was reading a book to her orange cat, Bailey.
The two curled up together on the couch as Abby turned the pages of a thick book, telling Bailey a story.
The video went viral and was even featured on “Good Morning America.”
Bailey sat as still as could be, thoroughly enjoying his time as a lap cat — a personality trait that has some cat owners yearning for a feline as snuggly as Bailey.
Now, Bailey and Abby are in the news again, mostly because the world is hungry for uplifting, innocent, adorable stories.
Abby, with her sweet little voice and undeniable love for her cat, brings plenty of adorable to the world.
In their latest viral video, Bailey has curled up in Abby’s arms again.
This time, she’s singing to him in a 30-second stunner that is leaving even the strongest of fathers misty-eyed.
Abby’s song of choice was “You Are My Sunshine,” and while singing ever-so-sweetly, she gently pets her kitty’s orange head. Bailey’s kitty eyes were closed, soaking up every second of Abby’s loving sunshine.
Abby sang every word before glancing up at the camera with a soft smile on her face. Then she turned her attention back to Bailey, who is clearly every little girl’s dream pet.
Bailey, who is 13, has been with his family since he was six weeks old.
He’s a pretty famous kitty now, with his own social media accounts and even his own hashtag, #baileynoordinarycat.
A quick scroll through Bailey’s Instagram photos reveals that Bailey might just be the most long-suffering, lovable cat ever.
He lets his human sisters practice their nurturing with their adorable little girl innocence — and actually seems to enjoy it.
Bailey has been to tea parties and make-believe school. He has a seat at the family dinner table where he sometimes gulps the last remnants of mom’s coffee.
Bailey appears to get the royal treatment in his house, and he probably wouldn’t want it any other way. With two little girls doting on him, Bailey’s world is looking pretty sunny.
