Jim Kelly's Wife Posts Update We've All Been Waiting for on Cancer Battle: 'Thank GOD!'
Hall of Fame Quarterback Jim Kelly is currently cancer-free, according to an exciting update from his wife, Jill Kelly.
The Kelly family has been battling the unpredictable fight against cancer for years.
Through it all, they have worked to display their unshakable faith in Christ, no matter Jim’s earthly outcome with cancer.
Those watching the Kelly’s journey have seen them beautifully display how to balance the responsibility of man while resting in the sovereignty of God.
Jim has done his due diligence with seeking medical treatment, following his surgeon’s guidance and medical advice and has made peace with leaving the results in the hands of God.
On Jan. 18, Jill Kelly took to Instagram to announce that her husband’s most recent MRI showed that he is free from cancer.
Jill Kelly was quick to give credit to God for seeing her family through this season of life.
“This extra waiting has been a reminder for me,” she wrote. “A reminder to remember the WHO and not the what.”
“The bigger picture and not the present outcome,” she wrote.
“Although God is in all of it, I needed to be reminded (yet again) that this is not the end of the story,” Kelly continued. “It’s a page. A chapter. It’s part of the greater story.”
The Kelly family has been able to quell their fears with the truth that God is in control of their lives on earth and for all eternity for those who put their trust in the Lord.
“Hope this reminds you that THIS (whatever your “this” is) is NOT the end of the story,” Jill Kelly encouraged.
“Immeasurably more is always in store for those who hope in the Lord!”
