Dogs Steal Mail Carrier's Lunch After Sneaking into Truck, Issue Adorable Apology
Meet Bull and Bear Jordan, two adorably mischevious mastiff-Labrador dogs living in Smithfield, Virginia. They have adventurous spirits, and get themselves into situations that sometimes leave their owner, Carol Jordan, at a loss for words.
When anyone arrives at Bull and Bear’s house, the friendly dogs are eager for a meet-and-greet.
One day, when the mail carrier arrived, Bull and Bear took the opportunity to scope out the mail truck.
Jordan came home to a note left on her front porch from the mail carrier, who kindly decided to let her know what the dogs had done.
“Hey, I drove up to deliver a package and both of the dogs crawled in my truck,” read the note left at Jordan’s door.
“They got into my lunch and ate an egg and some carrots and some pumpkin seeds,” the note said. “I don’t know if that will upset their tummies! Just FYI!”
Bull and Bear were guilty as charged. Jordan wanted to make things right.
In a charming, comical fashion, Jordan left the mail carrier a note of her own. She wrote a hilarious apology to the mail carrier from the dogs, and included a Subway gift card to replace the lunch her mischievous boys had eaten.
“Sorry we ate your lunch,” Jordan’s wrote on behalf of Bull and Bear. “Thank you for sharing!”
“P.S. Our humans said thank you for leaving a note,” the note continued.
“We didn’t like the note. We got in trouble.”
The internet has roared with laughter over the situation, relating plenty of stories about their own embarrassing pet antics.
Apparently, this wasn’t the first time Bull and Bear had made themselves at home inside somebody else’s work vehicle.
The local FedEx driver is also familiar with the dark-haired pups, who one day hopped in for a quick ride.
“We also heard from our FedEx driver that they went in his van when he was leaving a package,” Jordan shared. “And one sat in the driver’s seat and one in the passenger seat like they were going for a drive!”
But looking at these sweet faces, Bull and Bear are clearly sorry — or just sorry they got caught.
