Carrie Underwood's Baby Has Adorable Reaction to Mom's Singing Versus Dad's

Share

Baby Jacob Bryan Fisher is approximately 5 months old and he already has some vocalist judging skills that would make Simon Cowell proud.

Baby Jacob was born to Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher in January, joining big brother Isaiah, who turned 4 in March.

In a hilarious video that Underwood posted on Instagram, baby Jacob was in tears over his father’s singing voice.

Fisher, 39, was singing Vince Gill’s 1992 hit “I Still Believe In You” in a falsetto voice that was making baby Jacob cringe.

As the baby cried tears of sadness over his father’s less-than-polished vocal performance, he abruptly turned his head in response to his mother, who started singing instead.

Almost instantly, Jacob stopped crying at the sound of his mother’s voice. He relaxed, he smiled, and had he been a judge on “America’s Got Talent,” he would have pushed that golden buzzer.

But Fisher was not about to be defeated so easily — he started singing again, and once more, Jacob burst into tears.

It became a hilarious singing contest between mom and dad as both parents took turns singing, and laughed as Jacob consistently cried during Fisher’s performance, but was quiet and calm for Underwood.

“Everyone’s a critic…” Underwood captioned the memorable moment.

Fisher and Underwood fans loved the video, which had been viewed over 2.5 million times within one day of posting.

Many were quick to defend Fisher, who, after all, was a professional hockey player until his 2018 retirement, not a vocalist.

Even Justin Timberlake got in on the comments, writing, “This is the greatest thing I’ve seen all year.”

Fisher insisted he knew the real reason why Jacob was crying, writing, “The real reason is he was hungry and wanted your food.”

Whatever the reason, there is no doubt that Jacob firmly knows the vocal talent belongs to his mother.

Underwood is in the midst of her “Cry Pretty” tour, which began in May and will wrap up in October. Since his retirement from hockey, Fisher has been enjoying time with his family and spending lots of time outdoors.
