Adorable 4-Year-Old Boy Sings National Anthem at Hockey Game
A 4-year-old boy was not daunted by the sight of 10,000 people at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, watching him sing.
Landon Mak, a pint-sized patriot and Hershey Bears fan, gave a memorable performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the hockey game on March 13.
He wore a white button-down shirt and star-spangled suspenders complete with a bow tie. His stars and stripes shoes lit up, adding some extra pizzazz to the boy’s stage presence.
Gripping the mic, Landon slowly and deliberately began to sing the lyrics to the national anthem while the hockey team smiled in amusement.
The boy sang every word and every note, much to the delight of the crowd.
“The Bears won tonight, but the highlights started before the puck dropped!” the Hershey Bears hockey team wrote on social media.
“Local 4-year-old Landon Mak sang tonight’s National Anthem in front of 10,000+ fans at Giant Center, and he CRUSHED IT!”
Landon’s parents, Kim and Rich Mak, told “Fox & Friends” they never expected their son’s performance to be such a viral hit. Landon was just singing at the game for fun, his mother said.
Landon had performed the anthem once before at a sporting event, but never before a nearly sold-out crowd of 10,000 strong.
The boy was confident and poised on “Fox & Friends” as he gave a repeat performance of the anthem, a natural born performer gaining an even broader audience.
Landon learned to sing the anthem by watching YouTube videos, his parents said.
Kim and Rich Mak told “Fox & Friends” they were incredibly proud of their son for performing his heart out at such a young age.
While Landon did not seem to be nervous at all, his mom and dad admitted that they most definitely were.
“We were so nervous but so proud of him,” Rich Mak said.
We look forward to seeing where this young man ends up, as it seems that entertaining is simply in his nature.
