Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Welcome Baby into World, Royal Family Proudly Announces
People across the world have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby since the official announcement that they were expecting their first born. On May 6, 2019, at 5:26 a.m. their precious baby boy was warmly welcomed into the world.
Doria Ragland, Markle’s mother, was present for the birth and is with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Frogmore Cottage.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 0526hrs.
The baby weighs 7lbs 3oz and The Duke of Sussex was present for the birth.

Many expectantly wondered what the sex of the baby would be and even Prince Harry hoped that a baby girl would be on the way, but the palace confirmed that the baby boy was delivered safely.
The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Lady Jane Fellowes, Lady Sarah McCorquodale and Earl Spencer have been informed and are delighted with the news.

The little boy was born happy and healthy, weighing 7 lbs, 3 oz.
He is now seventh in line to the throne, just behind his father, making Prince Andrew, Princess Eugenie’s father, eighth in line.

The line of succession following the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new baby is Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince Harry, new royal baby, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Prince Edward.
Although the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s son is set to inherit a title, rumors have circulated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may choose to forgo their child’s royal title in order to give the child “a relatively normal life.”

A royal source told The Sunday Times in Oct. 2018, “That word ‘normal’ looms very large for Harry and Meghan when it comes to their child’s future.”
So much so that Meghan opted out of using the traditional royal household gynecologists in order to use her own personally curated team of professionals.
Even if the baby does not end up having a royal title, he will have “automatic entitlement” to citizenship in both Britain and the United States.

Dr. Devyani Prabhat of the University of Bristol Law School told Huffington Post, “The royal baby will be entitled to both British and American citizenship as both countries provide for transmission of citizenship through bloodlinks at least for two generations. Both countries permit dual nationality holding by their citizens.”
In lieu of sending gifts, the couple has asked the public to consider donating to four different charities that were recently featured on their new Instagram profile.
One charity, The Lunchbox Fund, provides daily meals to children in South Africa who would otherwise not receive a meal.
Another charity, Little Village, is a London-based organization that collects clothes and toys for children between the ages of newborn to 5 years old.
Well Child is a charity that helps children suffering from serious illnesses thrive at home with their families.
Lastly, in honor of Meghan’s Los Angeles roots, the royal couple has chosen one charity in the LA-area called Baby2Baby which helps provide diapers, clothing and essentials to children living in poverty.
Even though Prince Harry has already given his child an adorable nickname, “little bump,” the official name of the new baby has not yet been released — as is customary with any new additions to the royal family.
