18-Yr-Old Photo of Candace Cameron Is Proof of Where 'Full House' Star's Priorities Lie
We watched Candace Cameron grow up on television, as she followed in her big brother’s footsteps.
Although she had other roles first, she is perhaps most notably remembered for her role as Donna Jo “D.J.” Tanner in the sitcom Full House.
Since that time, the woman some would say is “America’s Sweetheart,” has gone on to do many other things.
She took an enviable third place win on Dancing with the Stars and was a panelist for a year on The View.
She’s also had a regular stint on the Hallmark Channel as Aurora Teagarden in The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries.
The series is based on the books written by Charlaine Harris, who also wrote the books the hit HBO series True Blood was based upon.
She has written three books and has also continued acting, starring in the spin-off of Full House titled Fuller House as her original character, now named D.J. Tanner-Fuller.
But perhaps the thing she is most proud of out of everything she had done is being a wife and mother. Married to hockey player Valeri Bure in 1996, the couple have three children together.
As much as she loves acting and her career, Cameron Bure realized she had to make a choice when it came to priorities when her children were young.
She said, “I’ve learned that I need to prioritize the big, important things in my life first.”
She elaborated, “When it comes down to the day to day, that changes every day, so it’s important to be flexible and re-prioritize.
When the balance feels off, I’m either not spending enough time with God or my family.”
Cameron Bure shares a lot of photos on her Instagram account. An 18-year-old photo she recently shared in celebration of son Lev’s birthday, highlights how family has always been so important to her.
The caption reads, “February 20, 2000 I gave birth to my second child (at 23) -this little jellybean. What a man he’s grown up to be.” It continued, ” Happy birthday Lev. I love you SO much.”
Bure has not shied away from sharing her faith or traditional values with the public, even when they are viewed in a negative light.
Newsbusters noted that a review of one of her books, titled “Faith, Family, and Full House: The former child star opens up about her controversial beliefs – and how they guide her life as a traditional wife and mother” highlighted that what she shared and many consider “normal” was being categorized as “controversial.”
