Parents Floored When They See Dad Pulling Crying Son from Trunk, Not Knowing Real Story
If you’ve ever been a parent, you completely understand how adventurous and eventful parenting can be.
For the rest of us who haven’t reached that point in our lives yet, we get to hear all the funny stories that parents have to share.
Young children definitely possess creative minds on their own.
They are daring, bold and take risks for the experimental aspect of childhood, sometimes dangerous but usually quite funny.
Sometimes kids do things that are so significant, they go down in family history, like when 2-year-old Leo took $1,060 worth of his parents’ cash and shredded it in the shredder!
It’s moments like these that parents will look back on as something so distinctive of their kids’ personalities. Sometimes they laugh (and in this case, sometimes they cry).
For Jeremy Crutchfield of Jonesboro, Georgia, he recently had a truly hilarious and iconic moment with his son.
Crutchfield posted on Facebook about a week ago. He wrote, “Before I go to jail, let me try to explain. I was just trying to be a good dad.”
He goes on to explain that every morning, he and his son leave early for school. They spend time listening to all his son’s favorite songs, and Crutchfield also gives him pep talks to get out of his morning fog.
Many cars have pull-out cushions in the middle back seat, which hides a hole that enters into the trunk. On the morning of Oct. 3, Crutchfield’s son finally discovered this “secret passage.”
Crutchfield did not encourage his son to enter the “secret passage,” but nevertheless, his son decided to crawl inside. There was only one problem with his son’s little adventure — he couldn’t get back out!
Crutchfield tried to hold back his laughter and took pictures, as he knew that they would shortly be at the school, where Crutchfield could retrieve his son.
However, his son panicked and thought he would be stuck forever just like any young child would.
When they finally reached the parking lot of the school, other parents had already arrived and witnessed Crutchfield taking his crying son out of his trunk, which naturally caused some confused looks of disdain.
“As I look around, the other parents have now pulled up, and as they let their kids out of the backseat, I am pulling my crying, panicked son OUT OF THE TRUNK. The look of disgust and indignation on the other parents faces immediately let me know that I would soon be hearing from CPS,” Crutchfield wrote.
However, he laughed this lasting memory off by ending his post with a joke.
“If anybody wants to argue about Lebron, the Falcons or politics, you will probably be able to find me Clayton County jail,” Crutchfield wrote.
All parents can relate to moments like these. Kids just have this inevitable capability of making anyone laugh, especially because of their innocent curiosity!
Props to this dad for allowing his son to learn from his adventures!
