Country Star Luke Bryan Spots Elderly Woman in Crowd, Jumps Off Stage To Give Her a Hug
It is no secret to anyone who knows me that I am a huge country music fan. I love rocking out to Shania Twain in my car and listening to Kenny Chesney during the summer.
One of my favorite things to do is put on my black cowgirl boots and go out line dancing.
Luke Bryan’s tune “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)” is impossible not to dance to, even if you don’t know the line dance to it.
A video from Sept. 2015 shows that the country music star is more than just a talented singer, he also is a class act with a heart for people.
Bryan was onstage in the middle of a concert in Atlanta, Georgia, when all of a sudden voices in the crowd pointed him toward an elderly woman sitting in the crowd.
“I’m your old neighbor,” the lady was yelling from the front row.
“Bernice Williams?!” the country star responded in shock. He then puts down his guitar and rushes off stage to hug the woman.
The crowd cheers as he hugs his neighbor and asks her, “Are you good?”
“It’s so good to see you!” she responds, as the crowd around them reacts with “awws.”
He climbs back on stage to give an explanation to the audience.
“People say they’re your neighbor, but like, she is like my neighbor,” he said.
“Like her house, my house. Not like house in between us.” he added, using his hands to show that their houses were next to each other. “My dogs ate her cat food.”
It is clear from their warm embrace that Bryan was truly glad to see his neighbor; not many celebrities would jump off the stage to enter the crowd just to see an old friend.
