Artist Paints Angelic Tribute of Princess Diana with Both Her Daughters-in-Law
Although Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana couldn’t be at his wedding last Saturday, the Duke of Sussex made sure that his mother was there in spirit.
For example, the engagement ring that Prince Harry gave Meghan Markle used two diamonds from the princess’ collection.
The flowers in Markle’s bouquet also included Princess Diana’s favorite flowers, forget-me-nots, which Prince Harry handpicked the day before the wedding.
One painter, however, reimagined the wedding day as if the People’s Princess got to attend.
“While Princess Diana won’t get to see both her daughters-in-law in reality, I’m thinking of visualising the scene as a touching tribute to the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry,” Autumn Ying wrote in a caption.
The first beautiful painting shows Princess Diana with her two daughters-in-law, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, all three of them in their respective wedding dresses from their own wedding days.
The other painting Ying posted on her Instagram showed Princess Diana with Markle, Middleton, and little Princess Charlotte.
“Here comes the joyful version of the royal family which I would like to express the bonding that’s precious,” the caption read.
The upcoming graphic designer’s royal wedding illustrations were been warmly received by people across the globe. One user wrote, “You have created magic over here!!! So beautiful.”
According to her post, Ying will be selling prints of her artwork and all the proceeds will be donated to the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund “in hope of helping the children in need out of malnutrition in Cambodia.”
In an interview in November after his engagement was announced, Prince Harry said that his late mother and Meghan Markle would have been “thick as thieves.”
“But then, as I said, (she) would’ve probably been best friends with Meghan,” he said. “It is days like today when I really miss having her around and miss being able to share the happy news, but with the (engagement) ring and with everything else that’s going on, I’m sure she’s with us, jumping up and down somewhere else.”
I’m sure Princess Diana is smiling down on her little family, happily watching her sons with the women of their dreams.
