Firefighters Buy 3 Carts Full of Items for Family After They Lost Everything to Fire
Whether they’re saving the day when fires break out or surprising complete strangers with their generosity, firefighters are true heroes.
The Milpitas Fire Department in California is full of kind souls that know how devastating a fire can be to a family.
These brave men and women have done more for their community than they had to, saving one family at a time.
Butte County is one of the areas in California that is suffering from devastating wildfires. Jennifer Hidalgo Fuller and her family lost everything in the fire, including their home.
Trying to piece their lives back together, Fuller made her way to the store to get what her family needed to survive.
It was there that Fuller met four kind firemen who knew exactly how to help her in her time of need.
As Fuller passed the men in an aisle, she thanked them for fighting to contain the wildfires.
That’s when the firemen turned to her and asked if she had lost her home, to which she answered with a grave and devastating “yes.”
Their response blew Fuller away. “Well it’s your lucky day,” they said. “Let’s go to the toy aisle, and mom get what you all need.
The firemen proceeded to pay for three shopping carts full of items and some toys for her children.
“I am just in shock and awe of the kindness I have no words,” Fuller wrote in a Facebook post about the kind gesture.
“So much gratitude,” she added.
“THANK YOU FIREFIGHTERS!!!” she continued.
“The kids are so happy and keep saying today is a good day….one of the best days of our lives they say!”
“It’s been one trauma after another with our family. There will be a light at the end of the tunnel.
“Thank you for your generosity!”
While devestated by the loss of their home, Fuller and her family have been met with incredible kindness in the past few weeks. Before these firemen went above and beyond for her, Fully also met another kind man in Walmart who gave her some cash to help get what she needed for her family.
“So many generous kind souls out there,” Fuller said. “So much love in the community right now. I will pay it forward when I can I promise!”
“Tears of gratitude!” she added.
When Fuller needed help, the firefighters and a kind stranger were there to provide it.
“It’s at least a little light in all the darkness from the fire,” Fuller concluded.
