Woman Hears Noises Coming from Wall, Finds 4 Tiny Kittens Trapped Inside

Share

Cats love to hide, especially when they are feeling scared or threatened.

I have one cat who hates thunderstorms, and when she was younger, she used to hide under the couch.

As she started to get bigger, she would end up getting stuck every time there was a storm. We had to lift the couch and rescue her multiple times before she realized that under the bed was a better-fitting hiding spot.

For cats, small, dark and enclosed spaces make them feel safe and secure from possible danger. That is often why pet owners will find their cats hiding in bizarre places like the dryer or behind shelves.

Usually, cats can find a way to get out by themselves, unless they are sick or stuck.

Pregnant cats often like a small, dark spots to give birth because they believe their babies will be protected. However, some places can be very dangerous for kittens.

One day, a woman and her family heard sounds coming from their apartment wall. The woman recognized the sounds as distressed mews and decided to investigate.

She grabbed a pair of socks to protect her hands and started cutting a hole in her wall where she thought the mews were located.

The woman soon pulled a little white kitten out before hearing more mews coming from the wall. She put down the first kitten and started to dig for more.

She pulled out a second gray kitten and went to check for any others.

As she called for her aunt to get a basket, the woman pulled out a third black and white kitten followed by one more.

This kind woman and her family helped save these kittens from starving to death in the wall.

It isn’t every day that someone cuts into their own wall to see what’s making noise inside. But because of their actions, these kittens got to live a longer life.
