Unbiased Journalist: Trump's a Stepfather Who Wants to Rape Everyone
Countless conservatives and even many independents have been calling the liberal media out for years over their leftward bias, even as those progressive “journalists” innocently declare, “Who? Us? Uh-uh! We’re not biased at all.”
Despite studies showing both an overwhelming majority of media figures lean liberal and an overwhelmingly majority of the mainstream media’s coverage of President Donald Trump has been extremely negative, many “journalists” still insist they are unbiased.
WARNING: The following tweets contain disturbing language that some viewers may find offensive.
But their protestations ring awfully hollow on the occasions when one of them slips up and unwittingly reveals their own bias. In some cases, this can provide a rather disturbing glimpse into their actual views of the world around them.
For example, take the following tweet from Virginia Heffernan — a contributing editor for Wired, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times and an MSNBC guest — who lamented that would-be child rapist stepfather Trump had replaced the oh-so-caring “true father” of former President Barack Obama.
Heffernan tweeted Monday, “When Obama left the White House in a helicopter that horrible day, I had the impression our true father was leaving & the nation was stuck with a stepfather who was going to rape us.”
“Now I increasingly believe that the media is the mother who won’t stand up for us & defy him,” she added, implying the media wasn’t standing up to Trump enough to stop him from doing his worst, i.e. raping the nation. Needless to say, the responses to her disgusting comparison were brutal.
Step back for a moment and consider the implications of Heffernan’s tweet. In comparing Trump to a rapist stepfather and the media to a cowed mother who enables such horrific abuse, she has significantly minimized and trivialized the very real tragedy of familial child rape and domestic abuse.
How exactly does that fit in with the whole #MeToo movement on the left? It’s not exactly a pro-feminist or victim-empowering position to take. It is also quite shameful how the left compares everything they don’t like to the violent act of rape.
In truth, Heffernan’s tweet is quite unhinged and far more revealing of the left’s inner thoughts with regard to Obama and Trump and what they did/are doing to this nation than she probably realized at the time she posted it.
Many of the commenters on her post reversed the situation and portrayed Obama as an abusive deadbeat dad, He’d been chased out of the house by the return of America’s “real dad,” Trump, who is now restoring law and order upon the American household that had been left in shambles, or something to that effect.
To her partial credit, Heffernan later claimed to find the responses she had received from “RW trolls” who made valid points in reversing her scenario “enlightening.” However, it remains doubtful that she will give that opposing point of view much additional consideration.
Nevertheless, despite the disturbing nature of her tweet and Heffernan’s apparent “daddy issues” — seriously, nobody should look to politicians as a parental figure — we must thank her for providing this dark glimpse into the coping process and inner thoughts of a liberal “journalist” now that her precious Obama has exited stage left and Trump is in charge.
