George H.W. Bush Posts Heartfelt Tribute to Late-Wife Barbara Bush On Her Birthday
On April 17th, 2018 Barbara Bush passed away at the age of 92 at her home in Houston, Texas.
Her death was mourned by many, but those that loved her most knew she had lived a long life full of joy and happiness.
She was buried near her daughter, Robin, who passed away from leukemia at the age of three in 1953. The former first lady always referred to Robin as her angel.
It’s not hard to understand why, despite her peaceful death, so many grieved the loss of this incredible woman.
She was known for being opinionated but always careful never to speak publicly about those issues if her views differed from her husband, former President George H.W. Bush.
That’s just one of the many examples of how their 73 years of marriage proved the test of time. Their incredible love story has been shared going back to WWII when George used to write Barbara love letters before they were married.
Their son Jeb said it best while eulogizing his late-mother, “Our family has had a front-row seat for the most amazing love story.”
Today, for the Bush family, it is the first of many days that are going to sting just a little bit worse than others.
In a heartbreaking tribute, her beloved husband posted a tribute to Barbara on the morning of what would have been her 93rd birthday, June 8th.
“Sending our gratitude and family love on this special day to all who are helping carry forward the selfless work of one Barbara Pierce Bush. She loved helping others and did so with a joyful heart. Knowing there are so many out there who share her passion puts joy in our hearts.”

While the world is a little saddened at the thought of Barbara’s passing birthday, the family is celebrating the life of a wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother today.
They rest easy knowing that even though it is her 93rd birthday, it is her first in heaven.
