Attention All Grandmothers: GE Appliances is Offering $50K for the 'Great American Grandma'

Share

Calling all grandmothers! GE Appliances is looking for you.

The company has announced that it is looking for a grandma — rather the “perfect grandmother” — to become its next new employee, according to KSAZ.

GE announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, that it wants the best of the best to fill the role and honor the title of “Great American Grandma.”

According to GE Appliances, the grandma that takes this position must be “big-hearted, age-defying, lives-life-to-the fullest and brings-out-the-best-in-everyone kind of Grandma.”

As the “Great American Grandma,” your job will be to work for GE Appliances 10 to 15 hours a month from March 15, 2019, to March 20, 2020.

You will receive a $50,000 salary as well as five new GE Appliance Kitchen products to add to your home.

“This position will require plenty of smiles, laughs, selfies, videos and social posts,” GE Appliances said.

Do you love your grandma's cooking?

“The right candidate will be sharp, hip, forever young, socially engaged and willing to travel.

“We don’t care if her hair is grey, brown, red or pink (well, maybe not pink, but who knows?!), or if she smells like cinnamon rolls (though the boss is a fan).

“She just has to have a heart full of love and a memory full of recipes.”

Grandmas looking to apply for the coveted role must submit a video to GE Appliances explaining why they are the “Great American Grandma.” Videos can be submitted to www.greatamericangrandma.com.

If your grandma is one-of-a-kind and would fit the bill, you can submit an application on her behalf.

This is the perfect way for any grandmother to take the winning title and show the world that they have the heart, happiness and love to be called the “Great American Grandma” by GE Appliances.

We certainly hope that GE Appliances shares these heart-warming videos as we’d love to see the beloved grandmas out there rise to the top.
