Eminem Blasts NRA... Internet Explodes After Seeing What He Did in 2001

Detroit-based rapper Marshall Mathers, more commonly known as Eminem, recently called out the National Rifle Association and gun owners during a freestyle rap at a concert.
According to Fox News, Eminem was performing at the iHeartRadio concert in Inglewood, California when he added an extra verse to his song “Nowhere Fast” after being introduced by one of the media-adored gun control-supporting survivors of the Parkland, Florida school shooting, 17-year-old Alex Moscou.
In a display of his diminishing skills when it comes to clever rhymes, the now rhyme-less 45-year-old rapped, “This whole country is going nuts, and the NRA is in our way/They’re responsible for this whole production/They hold the strings, they control the puppet/And they threaten to take donor bucks/So they know the government won’t do nothing and no one’s budging/Gun owners clutching their loaded weapons/They love their guns more than our children.”
Ironically, the rapper who has now declared war against the NRA after a horrific school shooting used to rap about being a school shooter himself, as can be seen here:

That little snippet of his lyrics is but a tiny sample of the multitude of songs and verses he has written over the years about guns, gun violence and gun ownership.
But hey, now that he needs some attention to compensate for his increasingly poor new music, the formerly anti-establishment rapper has jumped on board the liberal gun control bandwagon.
As if he himself hasn’t glorified guns and eschewed the politically correct positions for the past decade or two:

Speaking of Eminem’s history with guns, he was nearly sent to jail on felony gun charges, as reported by MTV in 2001.
The rapper managed to avoid a potential five year prison sentence and escaped court with only one year of probation after he pleaded no contest to the felony charge of carrying a concealed weapon without a license and the misdemeanor charge of brandishing a firearm in public.
Those charges stemmed from an incident in 2000 in which he used his handgun to threaten a member of a rival Detroit-area rap group, the Insane Clown Posse, during an altercation in a car stereo shop parking lot.
Luckily for him, that probation sentence ran concurrently with a two-year probation sentence he had already received over a separate incident in which he had used his gun to attack a man outside a nightclub who had kissed his then-wife — the same wife he routinely rapped about abusing and murdering.
As was noted by The Daily Wire, this latest anti-gun, anti-NRA stunt appears to be little more than a cry for attention from a formerly revered rapper who simply has seen his time in the spotlight pass.
Thus, his repeated verbal assaults on President Donald Trump and Trump supporters, and his complaints that those attacks on Trump haven’t elicited the response from the president that he was seeking.
This is just laughable, or would be, were it not such a serious subject being used in such a dishonest way. Sorry Eminmen, but from a former fan who has since moved on from your indecent and sophomoric antics … grow up, learn how to actually rhyme again, stay off the PC bandwagon you once rightly criticized, or just shut up and go away, because all you are doing is embarrassing yourself.
Please share this story on Facebook so everyone can see how hypocritical Eminem is being with his attack on the NRA and gun owners.
