Eagles Linebacker Gets Measly 1-Game Ban For Allegedly Breaking Person's Nose
The NFL is at it again. One of its players commits a crime, and the league seemingly spins the “Wheel of Discipline,” and where it lands, nobody knows.
The latest contestant is Nigel Bradham of the Philadelphia Eagles.
This should be a great time in Bradham’s life; his team just won the Super Bowl, and he signed a five-year, $40-million deal in March.
But when the Eagles open defense of their title against Atlanta, Bradham won’t be there.
Bradham was involved in a 2016 incident where he punched a man, breaking his nose.
His punishment? A suspension … of just one game.
According to the police report, Bradham was the main culprit.
“The defendant, without provocation, struck the victim in the nose with a closed fist causing the victim to fall to the ground,” the report states.
The worker suffered a broken nose and cut lip.
The seventh-year linebacker from Florida State turned himself into police, and says he accepts responsibility for his actions.

The Eagles released a statement, saying the team was “disappointed” in Bradham’s actions.
“We have been in contact with Nigel and the NFL regarding his suspension,” the team said. “We respect the league’s decision on this matter and we are disappointed that Nigel put himself in this position. Nigel has taken responsibility and expressed to us through his words and actions that he has learned from his mistake. We will continue to be supportive of him throughout this process.”
The Eagles currently have a shortage at linebacker after releasing Mychal Kendricks and a season-ending minicamp injury to Paul Worrilow. Jordan Hicks is returning from an injury that ended last season.
Bradham will be eligible to play in Week 2. He is allowed to practice and play in the preseason.
