Watch: Shifty Elizabeth Warren Can't Explain Why She Used To Be Republican
Massachusetts Sen. and 2020 Democrat presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren has a problem telling the truth and remembering facts.
She lied about her race.
She lied about 13 million people losing their health care coverage.
She misled when she said of the 2016 election, “The majority of voters supported Democratic Senate candidates over Republican ones.”
But most recently, her awkward inability to explain her past political affiliations truly painted her in a very unflattering light.
During her Friday appearance on “The Breakfast Club,” Warren was asked why she was a Republican until the mid-1990s.
Warren responded several times that she wasn’t “politically active” for much of her life.
Never mind that she had been professionally active, even published, in the fields of law, economics and regulations since the early 1980s.
Of course, I’m not arguing that Warren is a closet Republican.
I’m simply saying that she has a very loose grasp of the truth, of her past principles and of her recollection of how she got to where she is today.
Her fuzzy answer did not go unnoticed by the show’s hosts.
“You had a lot of confusion back in the day, Ms. Warren,” Charlamagne Tha God, one of the show’s hosts, said.
“You thought you were Native American. You thought you were Republican. When did you get on the right track?”
Well, she isn’t on the right track, Mr. Tha God.
She currently trails former Vice President Joe Biden, who’s also running for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination, by 25 points in the RealClearPolitics polling average.
And thank God she does, because Warren’s progressive ideals are just as bad as her inability to tell the truth.
Warren, you may remember, co-sponsored the Green New Deal.
She supports exploring reparation payments to black Americans.
She supports Medicare for All.
She supports an “Ultra-Millionaire Tax.”
She supports universal childcare for all working parents.
Together, her lies about her race and her progressive proposals form a bitter concoction that the American people are right to reject.
The socialist underpinnings of the Green New Deal are anti-American, anti-free market and wildly impractical. They are not, as some have said, merely ambitious.
Her plans for universal Medicare and childcare are costly. And costly means tax hikes.
The left’s deceptive narrative that raising taxes on the rich will help the poor still attracts voters, despite the fact it has been debunked.
Warren wants to redistribute wealth because she believes the government knows best how to make choices for its citizens.
But history teaches us that the American path to greatness was paved on the road of individual, economic, religious and rhetorical freedom.
What Warren and her socialism-loving buddies don’t get is that America will never be a better country if it is less free.
And every dollar taken in taxes is a dollar less that we are free.
It’s time that we hearken back to the foundations of our freedoms and expose Warren and her cronies for what they are.
She may try to forget the truth about her past, but as freedom-loving patriots, we cannot afford to do the same.
