Watch: Barr Gives Reporter a Dictionary Lesson After She Claims He's Helping Trump
William Barr’s not backing down.
The attorney general was already giving fits to liberal lawmakers and their media acolytes even before Thursday’s news conference to roll out the release of special counsel Robert Mueller’s “Russia collusion” investigation report.
But he was in rare form during parts of Thursday’s performance.
At one point in the questioning, Barr was accused of showing favoritism toward President Donald Trump, in part by describing the situation surrounding his presidency as “unprecedented.”
The exchange could be a Beltway classic.
And social media users cheered:

Every time the media cross examines a member of the Trump Admin nit only do they show the contempt they have but they also show how incredibly stupid they all are. Their Trump hate has turned them into mouth breathing hate robots.

If anything, calling the treatment of the Trump administration by Democratic lawmakers, the media and the #Resistance as a whole “unprecedented” is understating the case.
From the Democrats’ failure to accept the results of the 2016 election to the media’s conscious decision to abandon the rules of journalism in order to wage a partisan war on the White House, the Trump years have been an unending series of “unprecedented” confrontations.
It’s no doubt true that Trump has filled the role of president like no other before him, but it’s also true that his political opponents, including those in the supposedly neutral news media, have behaved in ways that would have been unimaginable not too long ago.
(Like, say, the Obama administration.)
And Barr, who held the attorney general job at the end of President George H.W. Bush’s presidency, clearly knows he has his work cut out for him.
When he called out the FBI and Justice Department “spying” on the Trump presidential campaign, the media and liberal lawmakers were in an uproar.
But Barr proved then what he proved again on Thursday.
He’s not backing down.
