Trump's Thanksgiving Message Had 2 Things Leftists Love To Ignore: God and Patriotism

Share

President Donald Trump posted a special message to his Twitter page in celebration of the Thanksgiving holiday, and made sure to note repeatedly in that message exactly who and what he was most thankful for.

Two of those things were God, who has blessed this great nation with incredible prosperity, as well as the patriotic love of country displayed by those who sacrifice of themselves on behalf of others, such a members of the military, law enforcement and other first responders.

“I want to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving,” said Trump. “From the very beginning of our nation, Americans have come together to remember our blessings and give thanks to God.”

“This Thanksgiving we remember more than 200,000 brave Americans who are currently serving overseas. We thank God for every patriot who serves our nation in uniform,” he continued.

“We also pause to pray for all of those who have suffered loss this year, especially survivors and families of the innocent Americans who were victims of the horrific and hateful acts of violence,” said Trump.

“And we pray for everyone affected by catastrophic storms and devastating wildfires that have ravaged communities in California. Every American heart is with those impacted by these terrible tragedies,” he continued.

“We thank every firefighter, first responder and law enforcement officer who raced into danger to save so many lives,” added Trump. “These are brave people, these are great people, these are special people.”

Do you agree with what Trump said in his Thanksgiving message?

“Our spirits are lifted as we witness Americans across the country rescue those who are in danger, support those who are in need and come together to rebuild homes and restore hope,” he said.

“This Thanksgiving we express our profound gratitude to the family and friends who enrich our lives, to the neighbors who strengthen our communities and to our fellow citizens who make this glorious nation into a beautiful home,” Trump said.

“We are all thankful for the incredible prosperity booming all across our land,” he continued. “We thank God for the blessing of being American, the joy of spending time with loved ones and the sacrifices made by the heroes who keep America safe, strong and free.”

“Thank you, God bless you and Happy Thanksgiving to everyone,” added Trump.

Despite the decidedly nonpartisan message of gratitude for the blessings and grace of God on this nation — not to mention the sacrifice of those who serve country and community for the benefit of others — numerous liberals still felt the need to attack the president for his Thanksgiving message.

Whether those attacks came in spite of the president’s repeated thanks for God and patriotic service, or because of those mentions, is known only to those who picked a day of gratitude and love to take hateful and mean-spirited swipes at the man elected to lead and protect the American people.

President Trump has made it abundantly clear that he wholly credits God’s amazing grace and beneficence for the incredible prosperity our nation has experienced, and has a deep and profound level of admiration and respect for those who place their lives on the line to defend and serve this incredibly blessed nation.

While that message is echoed by most conservatives, it is ignored by far too many liberals — perhaps because so many of them simply don’t believe in God or his blessings on America, nor do they believe America is a nation worth sacrificing for or celebrating. That contrast may very well explain why there is such a partisan divide in our society right now — one that can hopefully be bridged, undoubtedly with the help of God and those who unashamedly love this country.
