Trump Trolls Warren with New Slogan for Her 2020 Campaign

Share

President Donald Trump is back at it again trolling Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren on Twitter about her self-proclaimed Native American heritage.

Since Trump entered the political scene, he has shined a light on Warren’s dubious claims of Native American ancestry.

In the early 1990s, Warren claimed Native American ancestry in order to gain advantages as a “minority” while she was a professor at Harvard Law School.

Trump has relentlessly hammered Warren over this fact until she eventually gave in and took a DNA test in October.

The DNA test didn’t help Warren’s claims. It turned out that she has less than 1 percent Native American heritage.

“Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed,” Trump tweeted in October. “She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American. Now Cherokee Nation denies her, “DNA test is useless.” Even they don’t want her. Phony!”

Shortly after Warren’s failed DNA test, the Cherokee Nation made an official statement against Warren’s claims.

Do you think Warren has a chance in 2020?

“Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person’s ancestors were indigenous to North or South America,” according to Chuck Hoskin Jr., the Cherokee Nation’s secretary of state.

The controversy didn’t stop Warren from recently announcing her decision to launch an exploratory committee for a possible presidential run.

But Trump still isn’t letting Warren forget about her Native American heritage claims.

Trump released a hilarious mock campaign slogan for Warren: “Warren 1/2020th.”

Trump didn’t even add his usual commentary to the tweet — he just let the slogan speak for itself.

It’s a simple, yet clever jab at Warren, and there’s no doubt Trump’s attacks will continue against Warren as she builds her campaign.
