Spiteful Ilhan Omar Not Content Calling Tucker Racist, Wants Him Broke and Out of a Job
Nothing proves that leftists are complete hypocrites more than their repeated mantra that they alone hold the banner of intellectual diversity and tolerance while at the same time trying to silence every voice that disagrees with them.
They prefer that a Hollywood superstar not talk to Rep. Dan Crenshaw more than have a civil discussion.
They prefer to de-platform, shadow-ban and censor ideas that dare question their leftist groupthink.
And now, we know that they would like to drive their opponents into financial ruin rather than engage in thoughtful discourse about a controversial idea.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson, no stranger to this controversy, is finding himself in the crosshairs of this intolerance — only this time, a U.S. congresswoman paid by America taxpayers is targeting him.
Earlier this week, Carlson — host of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” — argued that it is vital that immigrants who receive the benefit of legal entrance into America should return that gift with gratefulness and love. Instead, some, and Carlson was clear he was talking about Rep. Ilhan Omar, return America’s benevolence with hatred and disdain.

“No country can survive being ruled by people who hate it,” Carlson wrote in an op-ed on Fox News in an effort to recap his message. “We deserve better. For all of our country’s flaws, this is still the best place in the world. Most immigrants know that and that is why they come here. It’s also why we’ve always been glad to have them here.”
“But now, there are signs that some people who move here from abroad don’t like this country at all. As we told you last night, one of those people now serves in our Congress,” Carlson wrote unsubtly referencing Omar.
Then Carlson set up a provocative question.
“Our country rescued Ilhan Omar from the single poorest place on Earth. We didn’t do it for the money, we did it because we are kind people. How did she respond to the remarkable gift we gave her?” Carlson asked.
“She scolded us, called us names, showered us with contempt,” Carlson said. “It’s infuriating. More than that, it is also ominous. The United States admits more immigrants more than any other country on Earth, more than a million every year. The Democratic Party demand we increase that by and admit far more. OK, Americans like immigrants, but immigrants have got to like us back. That’s the key, it’s essential. Otherwise, the country falls apart.”
Omar’s response to Carlson’s original thoughts were par for the course for a leftist hell-bent on avoiding a debate on the merits. Instead, Omar called for Carlson’s silencing via financial ruin. She name-called and shamed the companies that advertise on his show.
“Fox News is now giving a nightly platform to white supremacist rhetoric,” Omar tweeted. “It’s dangerous. Advertisers should not be underwriting hate speech.”

That was not the angry rantings of a pouting college student. That was a call to silence a political opponent — from an elected official who should value free speech and a robust marketplace of ideas.
Carlson’s response is spot-on.
“They hate it when you say true things,” Carlson wrote. “Ilhan Omar and her allies in Congress immediately demanded that this show be pulled off the air. They didn’t rebut what we said, any of our points, or even acknowledge them. They just try to silence us. That is how they operate.”
