Sinema Claims Not To Know Staffer in O'Keefe Video. Maybe This Pic Will Refresh Her Memory
Democratic Arizona Rep. Kyrsten Sinema, who is running against Republican Rep. Martha McSally to fill the Senate seat soon to be vacated by outgoing GOP Sen. Jeff Flake, has seen her campaign rocked in recent weeks by the re-circulation of old videos featuring her saying disparaging things about her own state and potential constituents.
In addition to the old videos showing Sinema calling Arizona the “meth lab of democracy” and portraying Arizona voters as “crazy,” Sinema’s campaign was also exposed by new, undercover videos from the conservative group Project Veritas that showed Sinema campaign staffers revealing that the candidate is a far-left progressive purposely misleading Arizona voters into believing she is a moderate for the sole purpose of getting elected.
Naturally, Sinema has disputed the revealing undercover videos, not so much what was revealed from her loose-lipped staffers, but because the organization behind the undercover videos is Project Veritas, which has been greatly disparaged by liberals because its videos expose what the left would prefer remain a secret.
Here’s the Project Veritas video about the Sinema campaign that was published Tuesday.
Sinema was asked about the Project Veritas videos in a radio interview Tuesday with “Arizona’s Morning News” on KTAR, but she did little more than attack Project Veritas. She also denied even knowing the campaign staffer who’d revealed that Sinema was really a progressive leftist and not a centrist, as she has attempted to portray herself.

When Sinema was asked about the videos from Project Veritas, who “are known for using hidden cameras,” she quickly interjected, “Those guys are convicted criminals.”
The host nevertheless noted, “Well, they do go and they capture people saying things that sometimes they wouldn’t say in public, they say in private instead. The video they put out yesterday this is not great. it’s Lauren Fromm, which Project Veritas says is a field organizer for your campaign, here’s a little bit of that video.”
After playing a brief snippet of the clip, the host asked, “OK, so first off, is Lauren Fromm part of your team and second, is she telling the truth? Are you a progressive and are you just acting moderate to get elected?”
Sinema replied, “Well, I don’t know who Lauren is, so I can’t answer that question.”
When the host pushed back that Fromm had been named as a campaign field organizer by Project Veritas, Sinema said dismissively, “Well, let’s take everything they say with a grain of salt. These are convicted criminals.”
She then proceeded to speak about her voting record and stance on certain issues that in essence danced around and failed to directly answer the question as to whether she was truly a progressive leftist or moderate centrist.
But James O’Keefe, founder and president of Project Veritas, took issue with Sinema’s dismissive replies to the radio host’s questions about the staffer who was exposed in the undercover video. In an email to the parent organization of Conservative Tribune, he offered up evidence that suggests Sinema may have been less than truthful when she claimed not to know who Lauren Fromm is.
O’Keefe noted that Fromm had been captured on video in Sinema’s own campaign field office, and also provided a picture that he said features Fromm and Sinema posing together.
To be sure, politicians routinely pose for pictures with supporters that they may not know, and it is not out of the question for a politician to not personally know all of the various staffers working on a given campaign.
That said, if Fromm truly is a field organizer for Sinema’s campaign, and that really is Fromm in the picture with Sinema, then odds are good that the candidate is at least aware of Fromm and the role she is filling for the campaign, even if they don’t have an actual personal relationship.
Those caveats aside, it sure looks like Sinema knows Fromm, and her weak dismissal of any knowledge of the alleged staffer creates rather bad optics for the Democrat candidate, who is already suspected of having lied to voters about her true political and ideological stances.
Obviously, the picture in and of itself proves nothing definitively, but it does raise more questions about Sinema’s forthrightness and honesty with voters.
If she will lie about knowing a certain campaign staffer, and lie about exactly where she stands on certain issues, what else might she have lied about to the people she is trying to convince to vote for her on Nov. 6?
