School Shooting Victims Praise Trump -- You Won't See This in the MSM

Share

Following the Parkland, Florida mass shooting, the Democrat-mouthpiece media went to great lengths to highlight, if not exploit, some of the massacre survivors who are in favor of imposing strict gun control measures in response to such incidents, as well as casting blame upon the president, Republicans and the NRA.

The media worked equally as hard to ignore, if not suppress, the voices of student survivors who are not in favor of more gun control laws or blindly oppose the GOP and NRA, but instead have called for solutions like armed security or even concealed carrying teachers and staff, as President Donald Trump has also called for.

But some of those student victims left defenseless in a gun free zone had their voices heard on Wednesday when they attended a listening session at the White House with the president and other students, parents and teachers who had been affected by this and other similarly senseless tragedies.

You can hear some of those voices ignored by the mainstream media right here thanking Trump for taking the time to listen to their stories of survival and hear their opinions on what could be done to prevent or respond to such attacks in the future:

“I would just like to say thank you for leading this country,” stated one young woman. “You’re a great leader, and I appreciate the direction this country is going in.”

Another student still struggling to wrap his head around the incredible tragedy that had befallen his schoolmates also thanked the president for the steady leadership he has displayed in the aftermath of the event.

The older brother of one of the victims also thanked Trump, as well as Vice President Mike Pence and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, for inviting them to the White House and being open to their various ideas for solutions to the problem.

According to Fox News, some of the proposed solutions to emerge from that listening session were to strengthen the existing but flawed background check system, with an emphasis on mental health issues, as well as strict regulations on devices like “bump stocks” that can increase the rate of fire of semi-automatic weapons to near that of already heavily regulated automatic weapons.

Do you think the media deliberately ignored the students who didn't advocate for more gun control?

Perhaps the main solution put forward was that of ending the “gun free zone” policies that have left students and teachers defenseless in the face of armed maniacs intent on death and destruction.

That would include armed guards and/or concealed carrying teachers and other staff members who would be trained and prepared to immediately respond to an active shooter incident, most likely before first responders arrived on scene, certainly reducing a potential death toll.

Meanwhile, as the liberal media ignored or downplayed what was said in the calm, rational discussion that took place in the White House, Fox News reported separately that what little attention the media gave to the event was largely focused on a note card held by Trump.

That card — similar in nature to ones held by virtually every other politician in speeches or meetings — was said to have been proof that Trump has no empathy and needs to be reminded of how to act human, or similarly deranged anti-Trump nonsense.

The media focused on the note card and ignored what the students and parents had to say because those students and parents weren’t touting the progressive gun control agenda like the other students who have been bathed by the spotlight of the liberal media.

Thankfully we have a president who is willing to listen to all sides of an issue — even when he doesn’t necessarily agree with the other side — and take their concerns into account, which is what an actual leader does … not that the media would know anything about that.

Please share this story on social media so everyone can see what the mainstream media has largely chosen to ignore.
