Russian Pranksters Trick Dem Leader Into Thinking Putin Has Naked Trump Pics

Share

Last year two Russian comedians reportedly successfully convinced the top Democrat on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence that Russian President Vladimir Putin was blackmailing President Donald Trump with photos that showed Trump naked with a Russian model.

The Atlantic first unveiled this hilarious prank in its latest issue, explaining that Russian comedians Vladimir Kuznetsov and Alexey Stolyarov, known as Vovan and Lexus, called House Rep. Adam Schiff last April pretending to be Andriy Parubiy, the speaker of the Rada, the Ukrainian parliament.

During the call the comedians claimed Putin was in possession of photos snapped by Russian model Olga Buzova that showed she and Trump in a “compromising” position; i.e., naked, and that the Russian president was using the photos to control Trump like a puppet.

And stunningly enough, Schiff appears to have bought this lie hook, line and sinker. Emails sent by his staff to Vocan and Lexus’s team after the call specifically show the House Democrat’s aide, Rheanne Wirkkala, asking for copies of the naked photos, as reported by the U.K. Daily Mail.

“I understand Mr. Schiff had a productive call with Mr. Parubiy, and that Mr. Parubiy would like to make some material available to Mr. Schiff through your embassy,” Wirkkala wrote in an email dated April 4, according to the Mail, which obtained copies of the emails directly from Vocan and Lexus.

“Please let me know how best to arrange pick-up of those materials from your Embassy in Washington, D.C.,” Wirkkala added.

Of course, Schiff now claims he knew from day one that he was being pranked: “Both before and after the call, we were aware that it was likely bogus and had already alerted appropriate law enforcement personnel,” one of his spokespeople told the Mail.

Do you think Schiff fell for the prank?

“Obviously, it was bogus — which became even more evident during the call — but as with any investigation that is global in scale, we have to chase any number of leads, many of which turn out to be duds.”

Nice try, but if it was so “obvious,” your dirtbag boss would have hung up, not ordered his staff to email Vovan and Lexus — whom they thought was Parubiy — for copies of the photos.

The irony is that Schiff has been one of Trump’s loudest critics, daily accusing him of having colluded with the Russians to affect the outcome of the 2016 presidential election and likewise making a big deal out of Trump’s son having briefly met with a Russian lawyer who had promised him dirt on Hillary Clinton.

“But Schiff was doing the same thing here,” conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh noted this week. “Schiff was doing the same thing. Schiff fell for a total prank, and he followed it up. Schiff looking for dirt on Trump. I guess that’s perfectly normal and legitimate. But Donald Trump Jr. being offered dirt on Hillary from the Russians, why, we can’t have that.”

It’s yet another example of the Democrats’ glaring hypocrisy, as well as stupidity.

Will they ever learn? Likely not, though that’s definitely not a bad thing for Republicans.
