Rush Limbaugh: Flake 'In on It' from the Beginning

Share

Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh unloaded Tuesday on Republican Sen. Jeff Flake after Flake sabotaged the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh by demanding an FBI investigation into sexual assault claims made against him.

Flake, who often acts like a Republican in name only, was the key Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee in moving forward the confirmation of Kavanaugh.

However, Flake only agreed to advance the confirmation process if there was an FBI investigation into the unsubstantiated accusations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh, leading to the seemingly never-ending mess of a confirmation process we have now.

And Flake is still grabbing headlines.

Sounding like a social justice warrior more than a Republican senator, Flake on Wednesday used an appearance on the “Today” show to condemn the remarks President Donald Trump made about Kavanaugh’s accuser during a political rally in Mississippi on Tuesday.

Flake called the situation “sensitive” and said Trump’s remarks were “appalling.”

Limbaugh on Tuesday said he suspects that Flake was planning on attacking Kavanaugh from the beginning in order to get to Trump.

Is Limbaugh right about Flake?

“This guy, Flake… There’s a part of me that thinks that he was in on this from the get-go. There’s a part of me that thinks he was not scared to death when he got harassed and protested in the elevator,” Limbaugh said, according to a transcript of Tuesday’s show.

Limbaugh is referring to the moment when an activist connected to a group funded by liberal billionaire George Soros  screamed at Flake in an elevator on Friday and seemingly miraculously changed his mind about Kavanaugh.

Limbaugh suggested there was no elevator protest conversion by Flake. More likely, Limbaugh said, the Democrat plan was to delay Kavanaugh and Flake was “in on it” based on how much he dislikes the president.

“There’s part of me that thinks he’s in on it, ’cause he hates Trump and that’s what all this really is. All of this is aimed at people hating Trump, and Kavanaugh’s in the way. In order to get Trump, they gotta get Kavanaugh,” Limbaugh continued.

Now Flake’s genius deal with the Democrats is doing more harm than good.

If you give the Democrats an inch they will take a mile.

After Flake’s embarrassment of a deal, Democrats began suggesting — as California Sen. Dianne Feinstein did on Twitter — that there shouldn’t be a limit on the investigation, which would go on forever if it were up to Democrats.

It’s either the case that Flake has really bad foresight or he simply wanted to sabotage to confirmation. Either way, he’s an unreliable Republican.

Limbaugh said it best.

“Flake is demonstrating that his name is actually an apt description of his personality,” he said.
